CWC Volleyball Sweep in Final Regular Season Matches; Region Tournament Up Next

The Central Wyoming College Rustlers showcased their dominance in recent women's volleyball matches against Northwest College and Western Wyoming Community College, securing two sterling victories. Both matches, which were part of the regular season schedule, took place in Riverton, Wyoming, and ended with the Rustlers winning each match with a final score of 3-0.

In the opening set against Northwest College, the Rustlers took an impressive lead, winning 25-16. They continued their strong performance by clinching the second set 25-22 and narrowly securing the third set 26-24. Similarly, against Western Wyoming Community College, the Rustlers held their ground with set scores of 25-17, 25-13, and 25-21. These victories have not only demonstrated the team's cohesive play but also solidified their position by securing the #2 seed in the Region 9-North Division.

Key players made significant contributions to these wins. Presley Ryan led the team with 12 kills, closely followed by Sarah Meservey with 11 kills, who also added 3 blocks to her performance. Laina Whitney contributed across the board with 4 kills, 1 block, and an ace, proving her versatility on the court. Additionally, Nora Rasmussen and Hallie Reeder-Johnson each provided crucial assists that helped secure the Rustlers' victories.

Looking ahead, the Rustlers are set to face off against North Platte Community College in the first round of the NJCAA Region 9 Volleyball Tournament. This match is scheduled for 1:30 PM, November 5, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The team's continued focus and strategic play will be key as they advance in this highly competitive tournament.
