Rustlers Continue to Dominate in Conference Games, Set to Face Top Opponents this Week

The Central Wyoming College Rustlers celebrated decisive victories in recent Region 9 Volleyball Conference games, overcoming Northwest Community College and Western Wyoming Community College. The Rustlers, led by their skilled players, delivered strong performances securing their dominance in the league.

In the matches held this past week, the Rustlers first faced Northwest Community College on October 8, 2025, where they sealed a 3-1 victory. The games were intensely competitive, with the Rustlers clinching the first set with a 25-21 score, followed by a 25-22 win in the second set. Despite a setback in the third set with a 19-25 loss, they bounced back in the fourth set, finishing at 25-15. Days later, on October 11, the Rustlers went head-to-head with Western Wyoming Community College. They maintained a steady lead throughout and swept the match 3-0, with set scores of 26-24, 25-19, and 25-21.

Key players showcased exceptional skills throughout each of the games. Presley Ryan led with notable stats including 13 kills and 15 digs, alongside delivering 5 aces. Quincey Mathews coordinated the floor with 18 assists, demonstrating the team's tactical strength and cohesion. Laina Whitney contributed significantly on the defensive end with 5 blocks. The combined efforts of players like Nora Rasmussen and Rachel Workman, who also executed critical plays and blocks, were instrumental in securing the Rustlers' victories.

The Rustlers improve their conference record to 4-2, and their next games consist of a pair of home matchups against Gillette and Casper College on October 17 & 18, respectively.
