Key players for the Rustlers included Nora Rasmussen, who totaled significant contributions with kills and digs across the matches, and Presley Ryan who also had standout performances in kills.

"This weekend was a great learning experience for our team. We played lots of competitive volleyball and worked hard each match. Though our record didn't prove it, our fight never ended." said Rasmussen on how she viewed the team's weekend, "We plan to work hard this week moving forward into our upcoming matches at CSI, and hope to show our improvement."

Laina Whitney was crucial on the defensive end with impressive blocks in several matches. The teamwork and strategic plays were evident with Quincey Mathews leading assists, underscoring the team's concerted efforts despite the challenging outcomes. Hallie Johnson's 5 aces against Hillsborough were crucial in pushing the match to a deciding fifth set.

Rachel Workman had a positive outlook on the team's performance against the top competition they faced, "This weekend was a great learning opportunity to see how we can adapt to the different challenges each team gives us. Playing higher ranked teams gave us the opportunity to prepare ourselves to reach our goals this season. We are finding our strengths as a team and our support for each other is one of them."

Despite the mixed results, the determination and skill levels displayed indicate a promising potential for future tournaments. The Rustlers are scheduled to play next at the College of Southern Idaho Tournament on September 5, 2025, going up against Salt Lake Community College in hopes of showcasing their improvement.
