CWC Women’s Soccer Grinds Out Shutout Victory in Montana Road Trip

In their first games of the spring season, the Central Wyoming College women's soccer team showcased their defensive prowess and resilience during a challenging two-game road stint in Montana this past weekend. Facing off against scholarship programs from both the NCAA and NAIA, the Rustlers walked away with a signature victory and a clean sheet.

The weekend opened on March 27th against NCAA Division II powerhouse Montana State University-Billings. Despite a disciplined defensive effort and several offensive pushes, the Rustlers couldn't crack the scoreboard, eventually falling 3-0.

However, the Rustlers proved their "short memory" on March 28th when they took the pitch against Rocky Mountain College (NAIA).

In a defensive battle, CWC managed to stifle the Battlin' Bears' attack for the full 90 minutes. The breakthrough came via Bailey Brown, who netted the match's only goal to secure a 1-0 shutout win.

They will continue their slate of spring competitions this upcoming Saturday, as they travel to Pocatello, ID to face another NCAA school in Idaho State University.
