The Rustlers dominated their opening game against North Idaho College Cardinals, concluding with a final score of 70-48. Point guard Lexie Kesler emerged as the standout player, leading with 26 points, 5 assists, and 6 steals. Her scintillating performance included a stellar three-point shooting display contributing significantly to Rustlers' early 12-point lead, capped off by a 42-31 halftime score. However, the second game marked a stark contrast as the Rustlers faced a tough challenge from the College of Southern Idaho Golden Eagles, who took an early 12-point lead and held it throughout the game. Despite efforts from Rustlers' players like Bella Sika and Iiris Vuorinen, who each scored 5 points, and Sophie Wilkinson, who led with 8 rebounds, the initial deficit proved insurmountable. With a solid defensive play from CSI, the game ended unfavorably for the Rustlers, 80-30.
