Rustler Men's Soccer First Home Game of the Season

Rustler Men's Soccer First Home Game of the Season
Riverton, WY— Today, August 27, marks the first home Rustler men's soccer game, which will be taking place on the CWC Soccer fields @ 1PM.
Below is a game day letter from the CWC Men's Soccer Head Coach Marcus Horwood:

Dear Colleagues, Community Members, and Supporters,

I hope this message finds you well. With the fall semester upon us, I'm happy to officially welcome you all to the start of a brand-new men's soccer season here at Central Wyoming College. Having already played on the road and picked up our first win, it's always special to me to have that first home game on our field in front of all of you.

Each year brings fresh energy, new goals, and the chance to continue building something special—both on and off the field. With this being my first season at the helm of this ship, I wanted to take a moment to pass on my deepest gratitude and appreciation of you all for the way you have welcomed and aided me since arriving in January. I also wanted to say a huge personal thank you to every one of you who have helped shape the lives and futures of the young men that get the privilege of representing this program.

This season is particularly meaningful as we welcome a new group of student-athletes, including several first-year players who are beginning their college journey with us. The opportunities we as a community are able to offer these young men are second to none and with 10 countries represented amongst the men's soccer roster, it brings me joy to see them embrace and grow into the next chapter of their lives, which is being shaped right here in Riverton, Wyoming.

Our program continues to focus on hard work, discipline, and representing CWC with pride and integrity. We're grateful for the ongoing support from faculty, staff, families, and community members—you are an essential part of what we do. This season we have goals and aspirations of achieving things that no other men's soccer team here has in the past and being able to put on a product that all who are a part of this college can feel attached to and well represented by. It's time to win and win now.

We hope to see you at our games, cheering on our team and helping create the kind of home atmosphere that inspires greatness. Let's make this season one to remember.

Thank you for standing with us, and for coming on this ride with us, now and always,  Go Rustlers!

Warm regards,
Marcus Horwood
