Bio
Amanda Winchester is the Head Coach of the CWC Livestock Judging Team.
Winchester was born in Lander, Wyoming. She attended college at Texas A&M University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business. She also earned a Master’s degree in Agricultural Education from South Dakota State University. After college, Winchester went on to coach for 30+ years in 4-H Meats and Livestock Judging. She also has done livestock judging at Northwest College.
Winchester believes in developing student-athletes to be not only great judges, but even better humans. Her approach focuses on letting students learn and grow as an individual and as a team. The livestock judging team has recently had the opportunity to travel for to Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma and California foir competitions, and they plan to make trips to South Dakota, Colorado and Texas in the Spring. She believes participation on the livestock judging team fosters skills students can use the rest of their lives.
Amanda is married to her husband, Clyde. She has two children, Jacob and Colby. She enjoys anything agriculture-related, camping, and spending time with her family. Winchester is also the Fremont County Sheep superintendent at the county fair.
