The Central Wyoming College beach volleyball team traveled to Denver on April 17, for a high-stakes regional matchup against Trinidad State College. In a series that came down to the final serves, the Rustlers proved they could go toe-to-toe with the region's best, ultimately falling in a narrow 3-2 decision.
Match Highlights: Rustlers Mount a Comeback
The dual began with Trinidad State taking an early lead, securing victories in the top two flights. At the No. 1 spot, Ella Svensson and Coco Denison battled through a nail-biting second set but were unable to force a third, falling 8-21, 22-24. The No. 2 pair, Laina Whitney and Hallie Johnson, faced a slow start and fought valiantly before dropping their match 14-21, 18-21.
