Rustler Beach Volleyball Take Down Conference Foe in Grand Junction
The CWC Rustlers beach volleyball team traveled to the Colorado Mesa University Beach volleyball courts this past weekend to test themselves against high-level competition, finishing the trip with a hard-fought split against Colorado Mesa University and Trinidad State College.
Rustlers Edge Trinidad State in Five-Match Thriller
In a back-and-forth battle on March 6, the Rustlers displayed incredible poise to secure a 3-2 victory over Trinidad State College. The dual came down to the wire, with CWC winning key matches at the top and bottom of the lineup.
The duo of Ella Sevnsson and Coco Denison anchored the victory at the No. 1 spot, winning a tense second set to sweep their match 21-13, 27-25. CWC also found success in the No. 4 and No. 5 flights, with Quincey Mathews/Brynlee Birch and Sarah Meservey/Kyndal McFadden both grinding out critical wins to seal the team victory.

Earlier in the day, the Rustlers faced a formidable challenge against the host, Colorado Mesa University. The Mavericks proved to be a tough out on their home sand, taking the dual 5-0. Despite the scoreline, the Rustlers gained valuable experience competing against a top-tier regional program.
